February is Financial Aid Awareness Month

The Division of Financial Aid will be coordinating several financial aid programs during February to remind students and their families to file their 2010-11 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

The Division of Financial Aid will present a “Paying for Purdue 2010-11” webinar from noon - 1:00 p.m. This online presentation will discuss Purdue-specific financial aid steps for students and parents interested in attending Purdue in the fall of 2010.  Details available at www.purdue.edu/DFA.

Thursday, February 4, 2010 (Health Planet 2010 initiative)

The Division of Financial Aid will present a “DFA Financial Aid Update” for PACADA and other interested Purdue faculty and staff in Stewart Center 218 A & B from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. General information about DFA, timely updates, and 2010-11 FAFSA filing information will be presented.

The Division of Financial Aid will present an in-person outreach  “Obtaining Cash for College 2010-11” In Stewart Center 218 A & B from 11:00 a.m. - noon.  Directed towards Purdue faculty and staff with children at Purdue or other colleges, this outreach will discuss Purdue-specific and general financial aid steps for students and parents interested in attending Purdue or other colleges in the fall of 2010.

The Division of Financial Aid will help promote the "Learn More Indiana: FAFSA Friday" webinars offered at noon and 6:00 p.m.  Details available at:  http://www.learnmoreindiana.org, under Cash for College.

Sunday, February 21, 2010

The Division of Financial Aid will help promote "ISFAA-sponsored College Goal Sunday" statewide financial aid outreach from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. DFA staff will help locally at the Ivy Tech-Lafayette site.  Details available at: http://www.collegegoalsunday.org.
