Banner_8.2_Functionality

In February, the Banner student system was upgraded from version 7.3 to 8.2. With an upgrade comes new functionality. The main focus of this upgrade was on financial and student processes improvements.

The process owners and Student Systems Competency Center (SSCC) are now assigning resources and establishing timelines to roll out the new functionality contained in Banner 8.2 to the users. A few of the new processes that will be introduced in the near future are: algorithmic packaging of financial aid awards, algorithms at the fund level in addition to packaging group levels for financial aid awards, expanded registration error messages, minimum/maximum registration hours (which may be associated with certain populations such as athletes or financial aid recipients), and course wait listing.
