Information for Students at West Lafayette

SSINFO is changing to myPurdue July 2008! Choose from the following categories to learn more:

What is myPurdue?

myPurdue is a new portal system that will replace SSINFO as the source for your academic and financial account information at Purdue. The software package is called Banner, so you may hear faculty and staff members refer to it by that name as well.

Some of the benefits of myPurdue include online registration in real time and online credit card payment for tuition.

What You Need to Do When myPurdue Becomes Available in July

  • Confirm that you plan to attend Purdue. Do this in myPurdue after you receive your account statement in July prior to the start of classes, even if your balance is zero.
  • Review your schedule and make any changes in myPurdue yourself. Be sure to check the schedule of classes for prerequisites or other requirements for any course you wish to add. We recommend you check with your advisor before you add or drop a class.
  • Check for available space in the desired section for any course in which you were previously wait-listed. If a space is available, you must add the course yourself in myPurdue. Again, you are strongly encouraged to check with your advisor before adding or dropping a class.

Financial Aid and Billing

  • To check your financial aid status for the 2008-09 academic year or respond to a letter from Purdue requesting further information for your financial aid application, use the link on SSINFO to the West Lafayette Financial Aid Self-Service until myPurdue becomes available in July.
  • If you have trouble logging into Financial Aid Self-Service, click here for help.
  • Payment plans offer greater flexibility for paying fees. When myPurdue becomes available, students will be able to enroll in a payment plan of four equal installments for the fall 2008 semester.
  • Purdue has contracted with TouchNet Information Systems to allow students to use TouchNet PayPath software to pay student fees online with MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit cards beginning with the Fall 2008 semester. A convenience fee of 2.75% will apply if you choose this payment method through TouchNet Information Systems. Visa will not be accepted by TouchNet Information Systems.
  • Student schedules will be canceled for those students who haven’t resolved financial obligations by August 29. Avoid cancellation and re-registration fees by doing one of the following before August 25: (1) verify applicable financial aid was applied to your July invoice, resolve outstanding aid issues to cover the balance, and confirm your attendance; (2) enroll in an installment plan and make the first installment payment; (3) pay your balance in full.
