Program Highlights

Facts

Development of research opportunities for undergraduate students through the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) program continues to be a focus for the College of Engineering. The SURF program provides an 11-week research experience for undergraduate students, with the goal of attracting qualified students to graduate school and research careers. In this discovery-based learning environment, students learn research methodology, develop research skills, and apply academic knowledge to research problems. As a result, students are better prepared, more focused and confident as they pursue their post-graduate goals into graduate school or a professional career.
