HOW TO REGISTER STUDENTS FOR THE TEST:
- All registrations must be made
by the department on the
test registration form. We do not accept test registrations
directly from students.
- Only students who have been
formally admitted to the Purdue Graduate School are eligible to
take the test. A valid Purdue ID number is required.
- When registering via e-mail,
always send the form to:
oeptregistration@purdue.edu.
- Please do not schedule
students to take the test within 48 hours of their arrival in
the country. Students should have the opportunity to rest
and recover from jet lag prior to taking the OEPT.
- Registrations must be made at
least 24 hours in advance. We are not able to accommodate
last minute requests or walk-ins.
- Remind your student to take
the OEPT Practice Test and tutorial at least 24 hours before the scheduled
test time.
- On testing day, students
should arrive about 20 minutes early and wait outside the
testing lab until asked to enter. Students will be asked
to show their Purdue student ID as they are signed in.
- Students should be aware that
several students will be in the computer lab taking the test at
the same time. While every effort is made to leave space
between students, in some cases students can hear other
test-takers as they record their responses. Reminding
students to speak in a normal voice as they take the OEPT is
very helpful.

Test Results
Test results may be accessed from
the OEPT Score Database within approximately 5 days of a student's
test date. Liaisons to the OEPT who have been registered into
the OEPP's system with their Purdue ID have access to the score
database.
Please note: The OEPP does
not report test results to students. Department liaisons are
responsible for retrieving scores and notifying their students of
the test outcome. If you need assistance with score retrieval,
please call the OEPP at 49-49380.

The OEPP's Course -
ENGL 62000
There is always a very high demand
for ENGL 620, especially in the fall. We do our best to make sure
those students who do not pass the OEPT but are needed to TA
within the next year are given priority for the fall semester.
To learn how to help your students register for ENGL 620, please
visit this page. Questions about
course registration should be directed to
the Program Coordinator, phone
