What to do in an Emergency Situation

In the event of an emergency or crisis, please dial 911.

Emergency at home: If you are called home for a serious illness or death of a family member, contact the Office of the Dean of Students at (765) 494-1254. We can send letters to your instructors informing them of the situation. You will need to contact your instructors as soon as possible to make arrangements for missed assignments. If your absence does not fall under the Grief Absence Policy, It is up to the instructor to agree to let you make up the work. Documentation may be requested.

Serious illness of a student: we will send letters to instructors only if the student misses five or more days of classes. It is up to the student to contact instructors as soon as possible to make up classes. Medical documentation may be requested.

Parents: If you need to contact your student for an emergency from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, please contact the Office of the Dean of Students at (765) 494-1254.
