Publicizing an Event

It is important for student organizations and University
departments to advertise and post publicity about upcoming activities and issues. In addtition, the University works diligently to maintain its facilities and create an enjoyable, productive, and safe environment for all who use the campus. That is why the Student Activities and Organizations office collaborates with those who post publicity to take responsibility and maintain/remove publicity after it has served its purpose.

Though identified areas exist around the campus grounds for the posting of printed event flyers, a large amount of publicity occurs online via the GetInvolved community, Facebook, Twitter,
PurduEboard
, and other social media tools. It is recommended that all student organizations and University departments use these resources, in addition to the flyers and tables, to better promote upcoming events and issues to the student body and local community.
