On behalf of the Student Activities and Organizations area of the Office of the Dean of Students, I would like to invite you to participate in an exciting program for student organization leaders at Purdue. The program is the “Student Leaders Retreat.” It is a 3-day, overnight event planned for the week prior to classes in the fall. The details are as follows:
9th Student Leaders Retreat
Wednesday, August 20 – Friday, August 22, 2008
Camp Tecumseh, Brookston, Indiana
$20 registration fee
"Registration Form - For Those Students Who Have Been Selected"
The program will include valuable leadership/organization skills, workshops, networking sessions, a keynote, organization meetings, and a town meeting for sharing information and programs, and a panel of campus administrators to give updates and answer questions. It is our hope that this event will give you the tools you need to build coalitions with your student leader colleagues, and build a better community at Purdue.
To attend the Student Leaders Retreat, each student must complete and submit an application. Because of limited space and the expected and past interest, we have implemented an application process for attendance. The retreat will be most beneficial to student officers who are involved in undergraduate student organizations that plan campus-wide programs, provide diversity education, sponsor diversity programs, govern a large segment of the student population, or produce a campus publication.
We are striving to select a diverse delegation of students for this unique and wonderful event. Please share this with your members and other student leaders at Purdue. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call (494-1231) or email (sao@purdue.edu) our office. Thank you in advance for your support.
