September Community Action Day

What

Nonprofits through out the community will host volunteer projects for groups of students (generally 5 - 20 students per project).

More information will be posted as it becomes available.

De-Trash the Wabash
When

Friday, Sept. 19th, 4 pm - 6:30 pm

What

Be part of Perdue's Green Week celebration. Purdue students, faculty, and staff will join people from the local community in cleaning trash from the banks of the Wabash.

Volunteer as an individual or form a group of 6-8 volunteers. You'll be match with a group of volunteers from area businesses and organizations. Recruit people from your student organization, residence hall, or work group.

Represent Purdue and help demonstrate the university's commitment to Green Principles.

All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and preferential seating for Tom Friedman.

HTM 100 Class Project - Feast of the Hunters' Moon

What

Students registered for Professor La Lopa's HTM 100 class can complete their required service hours by registering for one of these project dates.

Students registering for either of the Saturday projects will be helping with set for the Feast of the Hunters' Moon. You'll be building booths and demonstration shelters; moving fire wood; etc...

Students registering for the Sunday project will be helping to tear down and clean-up the event site.

Transportation will be provided.

What

Join other members of the Purdue community in making a difference for people in Lafayette and West Lafayette.

Social service, environmental, arts, faith-based, and recreation organizations through out Tippecanoe County will host volunteer opportunities for groups of students.

We'll give you a light breakfast, a t-shirt, and transportation to the work-site.

You'll get the satisfaction of having made a difference for someone else.
