Syllabus Statements

All instructors are encouraged to include a statement in their syllabus inviting students with disabilities to meet with them.

  • The meeting should be in a confidential location and occur during the first or second week of class to discuss accommodations.
  • The syllabus statement also helps normalize the accommodation process and creates a welcoming environment for Purdue University students with disabilities.

If you are a student registered with the Disability Resource Center and you are in need of academic accommodations, please see me during my office hours listed on the syllabus as soon as possible.

If you have an Accommodation Letter from the Disability Resource Center, we need to meet during my office hours to discuss your needs. See office hours, location, and phone number below.
