Disability Resource Center (DRC)
The Disability Resource Center (DRC) at Purdue is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive campus community that provides academic adjustments and services to eligible students with disabilities. The specialized staff, in collaboration with the wider university community, facilitates equal access and equal opportunity for students with disabilities so they can fully participate in all university sponsored programs, events and activities. Services include but are not limited to: exam accommodations, use of scribe and/or use of reader, sign language interpreting, CART, TypeWell, notetaking, alternative print materials, consulting with campus faculty and staff regarding the provision of accommodations.
The DRC uses a variety of alternative formats to provide access for students who are blind, visually impaired, or have other print disabilities. Innovative applications for tactile diagrams, technical Braille, and electronic text are opening new opportunities in math, engineering, and science for Purdue students with disabilities.
To request disability services, students should contact the Disability Resource Center at (765) 494-1247.
