Food Finders Food Bank

You can unload trucks and sort and stock shelves. If you have a car, you can pick up donations and deliver them to the Food Bank. You may be able to help with research on local donors. Also, volunteers are always needed for the Hunger Hike in September and for our Fall and Spring food drives.

You can help build a dream home, help organize volunteer crews, find properties, cook meals for the other volunteers or help families with financial arrangements.

Assist case managers in helping the homeless become self-sufficient - volunteers with some college education preferred. Paint, clean, help with yard work, assist with minor and major household repairs; this can be a group or individual project. Volunteers are also needed to help with data entry.

Prepare a hot meal for 20-25 people and deliver it to the homeless shelter at 8:30 pm. If you have a group, bring them in and they can prepare the meal in our kitchen. (Please call ahead of time.)

Meals on Wheels

If you have a car, you can deliver meals once a week or at your convenience from 10 am to 12:30 pm, week days. Or, help package and seal meals from 9 am - 10:30 am week days.

Mental Health America of Tippecanoe County

Volunteer at the MHA day shelter for the homeless. Prepare meals, check people in, and get to know some wonderful people. Call Carl Booker at 765.742.1800.

Salvation Army

Volunteers can collect food and non-food items, stock shelves, prepare grocery bags for food pantry distribution, or prepare a meal for 20 residents and deliver it to the family shelter. Every year volunteers are needed to be bell ringers to help with donation collection from November through December.

Help clients choose food items from the pantry. Help buy, load, or deliver food to to the pantry. Volunteers should have a cheerful disposition and be patient. Volunteers are usually scheduled one day per month, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday - 9 am - 12 noon. Volunteers must be 14 or older. Training and on-going support is provided.
