Purdue receives ExxonMobil grant at White House kickoff
Purdue has received one of nine new 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund grants sponsored by ExxonMobil to support university partnerships and new study abroad programs. Purdue's College of Veterinary Medicine produces an economic impact on the state valued at hundreds of millions of dollars, a study conducted by Purdue Extension's Community Development Program has found. The college and its alumni had a significant impact on the Indiana economy through direct and indirect economic output and by generating good paying jobs, according to the study. More ...

Three Purdue professors have been named fellows of the National Academy of Inventors, which recognize researchers at universities and non-profit institutes who translate their research findings into inventions that may benefit society, and five Purdue faculty members have won 2015 Faculty Early Career Development awards from the National Science Foundation, one of the most prestigious NSF honors for outstanding young researchers.

Purdue has been named to Kiplinger's Personal Finance's list of the Top 300 Best College Values of 2016. The rankings highlight public colleges, private universities and private liberal arts colleges that combine outstanding academics with affordable cost. Indiana bicentennial
An interdisciplinary team of students and faculty at Purdue has designed and built three types of torches that will be central to Indiana’s bicentennial relay. A functional prototype of the flagship torch designed to be used in the 2016 relay to mark Indiana’s bicentennial was given to Gov. Mike Pence as part of Statehood Day events at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. Video
