October 12, 2011
MERRILLVILLE, Ind. and FORT MYERS, Fla. - A full-service environmental company that specializes in quality-of-life programs will expand from its offices in the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana to Florida to offer sustainability consulting and project implementation in the area of alternative fuels and energy.
Legacy Environmental Services Inc., which is owned by Lorrie and Carl Lisek, will open an office in Fort Myers, Fla. Lorrie Lisek said several of the company's national clients are looking to provide solutions to that region of the United States.
"The use of renewable products and services is abundant in Florida, and many of our clients are looking for solutions on sustainability," she said. "Florida also is rated one of the top states with a favorable business climate, and it is ranked second by the Florida Gulf Coast Small Business Development Center in transportation infrastructure development."
Legacy Environmental Services employees will work with businesses, industries, schools and municipalities in their efforts to incorporate green, clean and sustainable activities and practices.
"Our consultants educate clients on projects and products that will improve their energy usage, cut costs and become more sustainable in their business practices," Carl Lisek said. "We also seek funding opportunities for clients to help implement the recommended programs and practices. This is usually accomplished through grant procurement. Legacy develops, writes and submits grant applications on the client's behalf and also offers grant management for the project."
