Purdue, IU technologies to be highlighted at showcase

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.; BLOOMINGTON, Ind.; and COLUMBUS, Ind. - Business leaders, entrepreneurs and investors will receive a preview of technologies developed at Purdue University and Indiana University on Thursday (Sept. 8) at the Purdue University and Indiana University Technology Showcase in Columbus, Ind.
Officials from the universities will present eight technologies that are ready to be licensed and have high commercialization potential for existing businesses and startups. Among them is Mantis, a portable reclining medical chair and dolly created by Leah Kenttämaa-Squires, a Purdue University industrial design graduate. The showcase will be from 8 a.m. to noon at the Columbus Learning Center, Lecture Hall (LC 1000), 4555 Central Ave., Columbus, Ind.
