May 3, 2011

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - IdentityLogix, a Purdue Research Park-based firm that provides software for information security intelligence and data actualization initiatives at public and private entities, has launched SpyLogix™ for SiteMinder Version 2.0.

Michael Hrobat, IdentityLogix's vice president of sales and marketing, said the new version is the latest in a series of modules for monitoring enterprise information systems.

"It monitors websites secured by SiteMinder, a Web single sign-on and access management security product by CA Technologies," he said. "SpyLogix for SiteMinder V2 includes functionality for troubleshooting, analyzing or monitoring business critical websites secured by SiteMinder."

SpyLogix for SiteMinder V2 supports the following platforms:

      * CA SiteMinder r6 SP6

      * CA SiteMinder r12 SP2 or higher

      * CA SOA Security Manager r12.1

      * CA Federation Manager r12.1

      * CA Identity Manager r12.5 SP3 or higher (requires SiteMinder)

It enhances functionality for securing high-transaction websites and includes an expanded set of features and functionality designed to improve performance, including quick view, message streaming, advanced message design and cross-platform enhancements.

"Quick view provides a holistic view of an enterprise's policy servers and LDAP user stores using the interactive console," Hrobat said. "Message streaming substantially improves centralization of SiteMinder event API data by lowering bandwidth requirements, streamlining data transport and improving parallelism needed to handle millions of transactions across multiple SiteMinder policy servers, fully exploiting hardware and networks deployed in modern infrastructures. Advanced message design facilitates rapid integration with new SiteMinder security or management data sources. Cross-platform enhancements accommodate SiteMinder policy servers running on any OS platform."

Chris Taylor, principal at Security Identity Solutions (SIS), which is an IdentityLogix alliance partner, said enhancements in version 2.0 will increase performance and enable easier troubleshooting of SiteMinder.

"We selected SpyLogix to give SIS the ability to remotely evaluate the operational stability of our client's SiteMinder Web access management infrastructure," Taylor said. "SpyLogix is the foundation of our Assured Business Continuity service offering, allowing us to quickly diagnosis potential problems for organizations in real-time. We are now able to identify potential issues long before our clients report a problem."

Hrobat said SpyLogix for SiteMinder V2 is a leap forward for IdentityLogix to support public and private enterprises that use SiteMinder to secure mission-critical, Web-based platforms.

"This new version continues a long tradition of partner consultation and market-driven enhancements for our IDx™ Enterprise Suite of security intelligence and data actualization software," he said.
