US Farm Report to film college roadshow at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – “The US Farm Report,” a syndicated television show focusing on agriculture and agribusiness, hosted by Tyne Morgan, will be filming at Purdue’s West Lafayette campus from 10-11 a.m. on Friday (Oct. 19). Filming will take place at the VOSS Model Sculpture located at 217 South Martin Jischke Drive behind the Hall for Discovery and Learning Research (DLR) building.

The show will feature three professors — Jayson Lusk, Jim Mintert, and Wally Tyner — from Purdue’s Department of Agricultural Economics. Immediately following the broadcast, “AgriTalk Live,” a one-hour syndicated radio talk program, will also broadcast from the same location. The radio show begins at 11 a.m. and will feature Purdue agricultural economics professors Michael Langemeier and Jim Mintert, and Jason Henderson, associate dean and director of Purdue Extension. Tyner will round out the day’s events in a special segment of “AgriTalk After the Bell” later that same afternoon.

Students, faculty, staff, and the public are encouraged to attend the event and participate. Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a question and answer segment immediately following the taping.

The complete show will air on Saturday (Oct. 20) and include a special feature on Purdue’s 150th celebration featuring interviews from President Mitch Daniels; Jay Akridge, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs and diversity; and Karen Plaut, the Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture.

If there is inclement weather, the day’s events will be moved to the Dean’s Auditorium in Pfendler Hall.
