WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Fans of comic books, video games, virtual reality and cosplay will descend on the Purdue Memorial Union Saturday (April 7) for Boiler Con 2018. The event runs from 3-8 p.m. in the Purdue Memorial Union ballrooms and admission is free.

This year’s featured panelists are Bernard Chang, DC comic book artist, entertainment designer and former Walt Disney Imagineer; and Mackey McCandlish, creator of the video games Call of Duty, Titanfall, and more.

The 501st Legion & Rebel Legion of Indiana, Purdue Pokémon League and Purdue Magic Club are also among those scheduled to take part as the event grows and features new events like VR and a classic Nintendo game tournament.

“We are so excited to be hosting the fourth year of Boiler Con,” said Juna Johnson of the Purdue Student Union Board. “This year we have some exciting new activities such as a Super Smash Bros. tournament, a virtual reality activity presented by Future Cast, an escape room, as well as some of our traditions like a cosplay contest, panelists and a variety of vendors.”
