WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Jerry Lynch, professor of economics in the Krannert School of Management, is available for interviews to talk about activities of the Federal Reserve.

Lynch, an expert in monetary theory and policy, macroeconomics, and international trade and finance, can talk about:

• Future changes in interest rates.

• The Fed’s desire to reach rate neutrality, meaning the rate doesn’t accelerate or slow down the national economy.

• Lynch also is interested in monetary policy, exchange rates, international finance, economics forecasting, and international trade.

• December news release on Fed rate increase.

Lynch is a fellow of the Teaching Academy at Purdue and was listed in 1994 by Business Week as one of the 12 best teachers nationally in schools of business. A military veteran, Lynch has taught in a master's program on Air Force bases in Germany and Crete, and he was a visiting professor at universities in England, Finland and France.
