WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue Alumni Association announced the opening of Boilermaker Station in Room 108 of the Purdue Memorial Union. Located across from Purdue’s Welcome Center, the space features a 98-inch touchscreen display highlighting Purdue University’s traditions, milestones, leaders and accomplished alumni.

“Purdue Alumni is the professional and personal gateway for loyal alumni and friends to build relationships with each other and Purdue University,” said Ralph Amos, president and CEO of the Purdue Alumni Association. “Boilermaker Station furthers our mission by serving as a hub of connectivity for alumni, students and families, and the community.”

In addition to the interactive display, visitors can view the historic Purdue newsreel and year in review videos, dating back to the 1950s; have their photo taken with a replica Gateway arch; and utilize the tablet kiosks to locate regional alumni networks around the world; access the alumni directory; update contact information; and join the Purdue Alumni Association.

“We are excited for this opportunity to increase our presence on campus and directly engage students, alumni, and friends,” said Amos. “The Purdue Memorial Union is one of the most heavily-trafficked buildings on campus and Boilermaker Station puts Purdue Alumni at the heart of daily activity.”

Boilermaker Station will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It will also be open on April 8 during Spring Fest, on home football game Saturdays, and for other special events. The new space marks a return to the Purdue Memorial Union for the association, which was headquartered in the building until moving to Dauch Alumni Center in 2004.
