Health-care, finance leader joins personalized medicine company

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Phlebotics Inc. officials on Thursday (Nov. 3) announced the appointment of Rob Lin, Ph.D., CFA as chief financial officer for its personalized medicine research firm.

“Rob’s extensive background is a tremendous addition to Phlebotics’ leadership team,” said Peter Kissinger, chairman and CEO.  “I am confident in his abilities to lead our finance and strategy team and believe he will be an outstanding representative to our investors. He brings a wealth of finance and strategic advisory experience in the health care sector to the company.”

He joins Phlebotics from the Infectious Disease Research Institute, where he was vice president of finance. He has also been deputy director of financial planning and analysis for the Global Health Program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Prior to that he worked in corporate and strategy development at Millennium Pharmaceuticals (now Takeda Oncology Co.) and as senior consultant with Dean & Co. Lin earned his Ph.D. in genetics from Harvard University and is a CFA charter holder.

 “I am thrilled to be joining Phlebotics as CFO,” Lin said. “The company’s automated blood sampling technology platform has the ability to usher in a new age of personalized medicine.”

Phlebotics technology is being further developed in conjunction with Purdue’s Discovery Park. Phlebotics continues to work with the Purdue Foundry, a startup accelerator hub in the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship.
