Purdue announces 2016 Homecoming court members

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University has announced the students who will serve on the 2016 Homecoming king and queen court.

The Homecoming court is selected through an extensive process, with the final step being a formal interview by a panel of judges composed of faculty, staff, students, alumni and community leaders. The selection process is coordinated by the Purdue Student Union Board, which also coordinates with the Boilermaker Night Train parade.

Student voting for the Homecoming king and queen will take place Monday (Oct. 3) through Oct. 12 on Boilerlink. The winners will be announced and crowned during the Homecoming celebration on the Mall event Oct. 15 on the Main Stage at Stadium Mall. They will also be introduced during halftime of the Iowa-Purdue Homecoming game on Oct. 15.

The 2016 Homecoming court members are:

* Lauren Ashack, a senior studying finance in the Krannert School of Management from Tinley Park, Illinois.

* Kayla Bacon, a senior studying human services in the College of Health and Human Sciences from Crawfordsville, Indiana.

* Shea Farren Catellier, a senior studying industrial engineering in the College of Engineering from Indianapolis, Indiana.

* Yiwei Huang, a senior studying mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering from Shenzhen, China.

* Cameron Mann, a senior studying agricultural communication and agribusiness marketing in the College of Agriculture from Cloverdale, Indiana.

* Blair Williams, a senior studying brain and behavioral sciences in the College of Health and Human Sciences from St. Louis, Missouri.

*Ashley Zeiner, a senior studying nursing in the College of Health and Human Sciences from Fishers, Indiana.

*Mark Adams, a senior studying computer engineering in the College of Engineering from McHenry, Illinois.

*David Bechtel, a senior studying industrial engineering College of Engineering from New Lenox, Illinois.

* Scott Campbell, a senior studying mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

* George Crabtree, a P1 studying pharmacy in the College of Pharmacy from Somerset, New Jersey.

* I-Fan Lin, a Ph.D. candidate studying electrical and computer engineering in the College of Engineering from Taipei, Taiwan.

* Trevor Peters, a senior studying mass communication in the College of Liberal Arts from Fishers, Indiana. 

* Brian Rogers, a senior studying civil engineering in the College of Engineering from San Marino, California.
