WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – From May 10 through August 12, Purdue Galleries will present a summerlong exhibition titled "Recent Acquisitions" in the Robert L. Ringel Gallery in Stewart Center.

"Recent Acquisitions" presents a selection of diverse objects obtained for the permanent collection in recent years. The Galleries collection is supported and grown through donations from individuals and exhibiting artists, and purchases funded by donations. The Florence Lonsford Endowment has provided in recent years for the acquisition of prints by international artists and contemporary works by rising new artists. Pieces in this exhibit range from prints, drawings and paintings to Turkish rugs and small sculptures.

On May 19 from 11:30 am to 1 p.m., Purdue Galleries will host a lunch reception in Ringel Gallery to celebrate the exhibition. Sandwiches and light lunch fare will be provided.

The Robert L. Ringel Gallery is located in Stewart Center on the main campus of Purdue University.  Summer hours for Ringel Gallery are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment. The Fountain Gallery is located at 330 Main St., Lafayette, in the Perrin Building. The Fountain Gallery is open noon to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
