Literary Reading Series features poet Richard Siken March 23

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Poet Richard Siken will be a Literary Reading Series featured reader at 7:30 p.m. March 23 in Krannert Auditorium, Room 140 at Purdue University.

In addition to the reading, Siken also will conduct two additional sessions. A Q&A with the poet is at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday (March 23) in Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering, Room 1109. On March 24, Siken is the guest for a 4:30 p.m. roundtable discussion in Schleman Hall, Room B038, sponsored by the LGBTQ Center.

The events are free and open to the public. The Department of English, the Creative Writing Program and the LGBTQ Center are sponsors.

Siken is a poet, painter, filmmaker, and an editor at Spork Press. His book "Crush" won the 2004 Yale Series of Younger Poets prize, selected by Louise Gluck. It was also a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Lambda Literary Award, and the Thomas Gunn Award. His most recent book is "War of the Foxes." He is a recipient of a Pushcart Prize, two Arizona Commission on the Arts grants, and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. He is also a full-time social worker.
