Purdue Extension hosts sheep and goat webinar

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue and the Kentucky Extension services will present a live webinar for sheep and goat producers 7-9 p.m. EST Dec. 3.

Experts will provide their perspective on small-ruminant health and management practices, including record keeping, lambing, kidding and nutrition.

Topics and presenters:

* "Utilizing Herd Performance Programs to Increase Productivity," Kenneth Andries, Extension goat specialist, Kentucky State University.

* "Causes, Diagnosis, Prevention and Treatment of Sheep/Goat Abortions," Beth Johnson, field veterinarian, Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

* "The Veterinary Feed Directive's Impact on Small Ruminants," Johnson.
