Purdue Band and Orchestras bring music to fall semester

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University Bands & Orchestras will host two more performances in October.

The Lab Jazz Band and American Music Repertory Ensemble will perform in Loeb Playhouse on Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. The bands will play music from classic movies such as "Black and Tan Fantasy," "High Society" and Disney's "Jungle Book."

The Purdue Jazz Band will perform at 8 p.m. on Oct. 23 in Loeb Playhouse. The band will perform Duke Ellington's 1966 Grammy Award winning composition "Far East Suite." Selections featuring collaborations with Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald will also be performed.

The performances are free and open to the public.
