WIEP event lets high school seniors explore Purdue engineering

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —High school seniors can register now for a firsthand look at the College of Engineering at Purdue University.

Seniors Exploring Engineering at Purdue provides young women with an interest in engineering the opportunity to learn about the university's engineering program. The event is a daylong campus activity scheduled for Oct. 19

Interested seniors can register to attend online. Parents and teachers are invited to attend as well. The registration deadline is Oct. 12.

The event runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is hosted by the Women In Engineering program.

During the day, seniors can explore any two Purdue engineering disciplines and obtain details about the first-year engineering program. Tours are available with the opportunity to meet professors, current students and alumnae of the program.

Also, a session focusing on professional practice experiences, global engineering, engineering projects in community service and honors engineering is open to attendees.

Lunch will be provided in the Purdue Memorial Union ballrooms with a keynote speaker presentation. An agenda for the day is available online
