June 16, 2015
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors are invited to attend EXCITE!, a five-day residential camp held July 19-24, 2015, at Purdue University.
The College of Education developed EXCITE! to provide high school students with experiences that will inspire and encourage them to discover teaching as a career. Attendees will explore Purdue campus life and resources, enjoy leadership and team-building exercises, network with current students and faculty from Purdue's teacher education program and gain hands-on experience mentoring local students.
The camp costs $75 and includes meals and lodging at Purdue's residence halls. Students eligible for the National School Lunch program can apply for a waiver to attend the camp for free or at a reduced cost. The registration deadline is July 6.
