• Campus activities:

- The Discovery Park Student Poster Session and Reception will be at 4:30 p.m. on April 9 in the first-floor atrium of the Hall for Discovery and Learning Research. The event will highlight achievements of students in the Cancer Prevention Internship Program, Discovery Park Undergraduate Research Internship, Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation and Margo Katherine Wilke Undergraduate Research Internship will be recognized. Faculty and staff honors:

Kim Gallon, an assistant professor of history, has been awarded a Digital Innovation Fellowship from the ACLS, the American Council of Learned Societies. Gallon is one of seven recipients awarded for "pursuing groundbreaking digital scholarship." Gallon, whose research focuses on discourses and representations of gender and sexuality in the early 20th century black press, is working on The Black Press Born-Digital Project.
