WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University police are investigating a reported sexual assault that allegedly occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday (Oct. 4) inside the Hilltop Apartments complex.

The alleged incident was reported to police late Monday (Oct. 6) evening. Purdue police Capt. Eric Chin said police have identified a possible suspect, and the investigation is ongoing. The person of interest has had multiple encounters with local law enforcement, he said.

Purdue police ask that people report all suspicious activity to them.
