Consultants to share bicycle, pedestrian infrastructure recommendations at Wednesday public meeting

October 20, 2014

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The final recommendations for campus bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, programs and procedures from the bicycle consulting team of Rundell Ernstberger Associates LLC and Toole Design Group will be presented at a public meeting from 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 22) in Purdue Memorial Union’s Anniversary Drawing Room.

The meeting, which is part of the university’s Green Week, concludes the yearlong study that evaluated best practices in both urban and campus environments and utilized a variety of feedback mechanisms to obtain information from students, faculty, staff and community members, including previous public meetings and an online survey, Wikimap and suggestion form.

Following the presentation, an executive summary of the recommendations will be available on the Purdue Bikes website, and, in the weeks to come, recommendations will be reviewed and considered for future implementation on the West Lafayette campus.
