WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Pentatonix, winners of NBC's "The Sing-Off," will perform Oct. 1 at Purdue University's Elliott Hall of Music. The 7:30 performance is presented by the Purdue Student Concert Committee, with support from the Student Fee Activities Board.

Pentatonix, named after the world's most widely recognized five-note music scale, has quickly developed a sound and style that is unique. After "The Sing Off," Pentatonix produced and released 2 EPs - "PTX Vol. 1" and "PTXmas"- each time debuting on Billboard's Top 200 and selling more than 125,000 albums.

They have twice toured North America and regularly sell out venues. Television appearances include performances on "Ellen," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Talk," "Sesame Street" and "The Katie Couric Show."

In addition to their live shows, the Pentatonix YouTube channel boasts more than 155 million views and 1.8 million subscribers, propelled by performances of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know," (18 million views) and Lorde's "Royals," (11 million views). Another popular video "Evolution Of Music," a 4 minute, 36-song live journey through the history of music that has tallied more than 21 million views. The group's cover collaboration with Lindsey Stirling for Imagine Dragon's "Radioactive" has received more than 45 million views over the two artists' channels and won in the "Best Response Video" category at the inaugural YouTube Music Awards last November.
