Appointments, honors and activities

• Faculty and staff honors:
- Indrajeet Chaubey, professor and head of the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, has received the 2014 ADS/Hancor Soil and Water Engineering Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. The award is given for "outstanding accomplishments and contributions in the development of knowledge to improve watershed management and in educating and mentoring young professionals." Chaubey was given the award during ASABE's recent annual international meeting in Montreal.
- Prabuddha De, Accenture Professor of Information Technology in Krannert School of Management, was one of three co-authors cited for research by the Academy of Management at its annual conference. De teamed with Jungpil Hahn and Chen Zhang to publish "Continued Participation in Online Innovation Communities: Does Community Response Matter Equally for Everyone?" The paper appeared in the journal Information Systems Research in 2013, and was selected as the best published paper of 2013 by the Organizational Communication & Information Systems division of the Academy of Management. Hahn, a former Krannert faculty member, is an associate professor of information systems at National University in Singapore. Zhang earned a doctorate from Purdue and is an associate professor at the University of Memphis.
