Golden Taps ceremony to honor 10 Purdue students

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University's Golden Taps ceremony will be held on Tuesday (April 15) to honor students who died during the past academic year. Golden Taps, a collaboration of the Office of the Dean of Students, University Residences and the Purdue Student Union Board, has been a tradition on campus since 1994.
Family, friends and community members are invited to gather at 9 p.m. in the Purdue Memorial Union Great Hall. Attendees will then proceed to the Unfinished Block P in Academy Park outside Stewart Center for a brief outdoor ceremony.
The 10 students who will be honored this year include: David Auffart, a freshman in the College of Agriculture from Ferdinand, Ind.; Martin M. Bergquist, a freshman in the College of Engineering from Mequon, Wisc.; Andrew Boldt, a senior in the College of Engineering from West Bend, Wisc.; Andrew J. Bujna, a senior in the College of Engineering from Indianapolis; Aaron M. Bulger, a senior in the College of Agriculture from Mishawaka, Ind.; Hannah M. Densel, a senior in the College of Liberal Arts from Fort Wayne, Ind.; Dustin Hanson, a senior in the College of Engineering from Big Bend, Wisc.; O'Shea P. McCarthy, a junior in the College of Science from Gary, Ind.; Scott Notary, a senior in the College of Technology from Lafayette, Ind.; and Stephen A. Swope, a graduate student in the College of Liberal Arts from Platteville, Wisc.
