Purdue to host first health careers fair
March 3, 2014
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — More than 50 schools and organizations from throughout the United States and the Caribbean will participate in Purdue University's first health careers fair.
The event, sponsored by the Center for Pre-Professional Advising, is free and open to students and community members interested in health-related careers.
The fair will be from 2-5:30 p.m. March 10 in the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center.
"We're excited to bring together so many schools and organizations to campus," said Amy Terstriep, director of the Center for Pre-Professional Advising. "This is a great opportunity to learn about career choices, educational options in the health field and about campus resources related to health careers."
Those attending the fair will be able to meet directly with health admissions officials who make decisions about entry to programs. Representatives from medical, dental, public health, physical therapy and veterinary schools will be in attendance as well as schools offering health law, health administration and other programs.
