Purdue Galleries presents 'Wintry Mix' lunchtime entertainment at downtown Fountain Gallery

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.- Purdue University Galleries on Monday (Dec. 16) through Dec. 20 welcomes the community to "Wintry Mix, " a week-long series of free lunchtime concerts by local performers in the Fountain Gallery, 330 Main Street, in downtown Lafayette.  

Purdue Galleries came up with "Wintry Mix" as a special offering between semesters and as a unique holiday break for the local community. Each day at noon, a different performance will be featured in the gallery amongst the artwork on display. Visitors are invited to bring a lunch. Light refreshments will be provided.

Donations will be accepted for the performers and their local charities of choice.

The schedule of performers and their charitable beneficiaries includes:

* Monday (Dec, 16) – Kitty Campbell and Jamie Newman (Legal Aid)

* Dec. 17 – Danny Weiss (Food Finders)

*  Dec. 18 – Miscellanea Musica Recorder Ensemble (Almost Home Humane Society)

* Dec. 19 – Sabrina Lastman and Petronio Bendito (Amnesty International)

* Dec.  20 – Danny Weiss Trio (Food Finders)

The EMT Food Truck will be parked on Main Street near the Fountain Gallery starting at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Contributions will be accepted for the EMT food truck's "Hug & Hunger Relief" campaign to benefit the YWCA domestic violence shelter. Those bringing a new stuffed animal and/or canned/nonperishable food items to the food truck will receive a reusable EMT food truck grocery bag.
