Purdue names 2013 Homecoming queen and king candidates

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University has announced the students who will serve on the 2013 Homecoming queen and king court.
The Homecoming court is selected through an extensive process that includes an interview by a panel of judges composed of faculty, staff, students, alumni and community leaders. The selection process is coordinated by the Purdue Student Union Board, which also coordinates the pep rally and the Boilermaker Night Train parade.
Student voting for the Homecoming king and queen will take place Sept. 18-26 on the Be Involved website at http://www.purdue.edu/b-involved
Winners will be announced and crowned during the 211˚ Session Sept. 28 in Mackey Arena, and they will be introduced during halftime of the Purdue-Northern Illinois football game on Sept. 28.
The 2013 Homecoming court members are:
* Annalise Dietzen, a senior studying interior design from Naperville, Ill.
* Kelli Fultz, a senior studying management from Indianapolis.
* Alison Gatons, a senior studying materials science and engineering from Avon, Ind.
* Maureen Jones, a senior studying special/elementary education from West Lafayette, Ind.
* Erin Whittaker, a senior studying quantitative agricultural economics and French from West Lafayette, Ind.
* Alexandra Zawodni, a senior studying biology from Fort Wayne, Ind.
* Patty Ziccarelli, a senior studying general health science pre-optometry from Lake Forest, Ill.
* Josh Folk, a senior studying civil engineering and Spanish from Winnipeg, Canada.
* Stephen Joest, a senior studying accounting/management from Carmel, Ind.
* Gabriel Magallanes, a senior studying biochemistry from Lafayette, Ind.
* Travis Martin, a senior studying agribusiness management from Deer Creek, Ind.
* Joe Rust, a senior studying agribusiness management from Seymour, Ind.
* Michael Welling, a senior studying computer engineering from Fort Wayne, Ind.
* Cody Wilson, a senior studying sociology from Greenwood, Ind.
