Pharmaceutical, biotech services company becomes Purdue Research Park tenant

September 18, 2013

INDIANAPOLIS - Scientists at pharmaceutical or biotech firms who are searching for a contract service provider during the drug development process could benefit from a growing Indianapolis-based company that has become a tenant in the Purdue Research Park.

VxP Pharma Inc. offers a wide range of contract drug development and manufacturing services. Raymond E. Peck founded it as a wholly owned subsidiary of CRO Solutions Inc., its parent company. VxP Pharma offers comprehensive services in early pharmaceutical and biotech product development.

"Our service areas include discovery chemistry and research, chemical development, preclinical services, preformulation and solid state chemistry, analytical and bioanalytical support, formulation development and clinical trial materials manufacturing, and reagent assay development services," he said.

Peck said the Purdue Research Park site will be a satellite office with full-time employees.

"Its location near the Indianapolis International Airport makes it an easy stopover for prospects visiting the city," he said. "Within two weeks of opening, we had two site visits by major pharmaceutical companies, and several more are on the calendar."

Peck said VxP Pharma benefits in other ways by being a tenant in the Purdue Research Park.

"Purdue has an excellent reputation in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in research and development," he said. "My colleagues and I also can't overlook the talent pool of potential new employees as we expand. We have added four new employees in the past six months, and we intend to continue hiring as we move forward."
