Health care data management firm joins Purdue Research Park

May 9, 2013

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - Family caregivers and professional health care providers can benefit from online products developed by a data management firm that has become a tenant in the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana.

Officials at InterContinental Industries Inc., dba interLink, have developed an online care coordination site called Saturing for health care providers and family caregivers to utilize for people with chronic health issues or severe injuries. The company's health care management site, called Advocare, is for state administrators and case management professionals who support underserved populations, including people with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.

Richard W. Metzger, a Purdue University alumnus, is founder and managing director of interLink. He said family caregivers face the challenge of balancing caregiving responsibilities with their own lives, and professional health care providers are challenged to address state and federal requirements on quality and other metrics.

"InterLink has a combination of data management and IT development expertise, combined with insight into the health care industry specific to our markets," he said. "We take pride in our ability to respond to market, regulatory or industry needs with unprecedented speed and quality for our customers."

Metzger explained why he and his colleagues became tenants in the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana.

"It elevates our option to interact with other like-minded groups and individuals," he said. "Our passion is creating solutions to improve the lives of those who need it most. The creative energy at the park matches and challenges our level, and we are excited to be among others who are working toward improving the lives of others."
