WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue Varsity Glee Club has accepted an invitation from the Indiana Society of Washington, D.C. to perform during the Indiana Inaugural Ball in the nation's capital on Jan. 20.

The performance will be at the Omni Shoreham Regency Ballroom in Washington, D.C. Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Lt. Gov. Susan Ellspermann and Indiana's congressional delegation will be in attendance. President Barack Obama, who will be inaugurated on Jan. 21, has been invited.

"We're honored to return to our nation's capital and showcase the fine talent of our student performers," said William Griffel, director of Purdue Musical Organizations and the Purdue Varsity Glee Club. "We look forward to representing Purdue University and our community as we perform during Indiana's Inaugural Ball."

The Glee Club will travel to the nation's capital by bus and will be there from Jan. 19-21. The Glee Club will also perform a 7 p.m. concert on Jan. 19 at the College of Southern Maryland, La Plata, MD. Advance tickets are available online for $15 each plus a surcharge by visiting http://www.chesapeakechoral.com. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door for $20 each, where cash and checks will be accepted.
