Purdue offers America's VOICe training for Indiana businesses

January 16, 2013

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University's Technical Assistance Program (TAP) will hold a training workshop Tuesday (Jan. 22) in Fishers to help Indiana companies take advantage of America's VOICe, an online business network and marketplace.

America's Virtual Opportunity Interchange Center (VOICe), funded by the U.S. Defense Department, is an e-marketplace developed exclusively for top industrial buyers, suppliers and service providers. It uses advanced Internet search and networking technology to connect members with resources for growth, create a pipeline to viable business partnerships and help participants leverage their assets and investments.

Although the public can search for members and opportunities on America's VOICe, only members can post opportunities and receive matches for opportunities from the Defense Department as well as other members.

The training will be from 9 a.m. to noon. The first hour will provide an overview of VOICe. During the remainder of the workshop, participants will create their companies' VOICe profile pages.

The training will be at the Fishers WorkOne Express office, 10204 Lantern Road. The workshop is free, but registration is required by going to http://www.mep.purdue.edu/events and clicking on America's VOICe.
