Purdue police urge campus community to secure personal items after reported thefts

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University police are reminding campus workers to secure personal belongings in locked drawers or cabinets after four reported thefts from unattended offices on Monday (Oct. 1).
Three of the incidents were reported in the Robert E. Heine Pharmacy Building. A fourth was reported in Heavilon Hall. Purdue police Lt. Fred Davis said items, including cash, identification, credit or debit cards, and a gift card were among the items reportedly taken from wallets, purses and book bags.
Davis asks that any suspicious activities be reported to the Purdue Police Department at 765-494-8221.
