Expo to offer workshops for green industry businesses

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Experts from Purdue University will be among presenters at the 2013 Indiana Green Expo, which will feature a variety of workshops, sessions and exhibits for horticulture, turf science and business professionals.

The conference and trade show will be held Jan. 9-11 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis. Participants can attend sessions in educational tracks such as sports turf, landscape design, lawn care, plant materials, vegetation management and business, presented by speakers from regional universities and businesses. Twenty-four faculty and staff members from Purdue will speak at the event.

Additional workshops and keynote sessions will cover topics such as improving diagnostic skills, selecting and planting improved cultivars, news and updates in the green industry. The trade show, featuring regional and national businesses, will be held Jan. 10 and 11.

Early registration is due by Friday (Dec. 21). Registration also is available after that date but without a discounted rate. Participants can register online at http://www.indianagreenexpo.com.
