Everyone who helped clean up and restore Cary West Hall after Jan. 5 water leak: Thanks to everyone who helped mitigate, clean up and restore Cary West Hall after a water leak on the evening of Jan. 5. Thanks to the PUFD for responding so quickly and getting the water turned off. Thanks to the Building Services Emergency Response Team for arriving in a timely fashion with the equipment and staff to begin cleaning. Thanks to those from Operations and Maintenance for their help putting things back together. A special thanks to Kevin Thedans and his staff from REM for responding so quickly and helping with the recovery process. I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize the Cary staff that came in after hours for the cleanup, informed the students on winter break of the situation and worked tirelessly to have everything as close to normal as possible before they returned.
