'Health and Disease' poster session to take place March 1; deadline extended for poster submissions

A poster session on "Health and Disease: Science, Technology, Culture and Policy" will take place on March 1 sponsored by the College of Agriculture, College of Engineering, College of Health and Human Sciences, College of Liberal Arts, College of Pharmacy, College of Science, Polytechnic Institute, College of Veterinary Medicine and Purdue University Libraries. Poster submissions are being sought, and the deadline had been extended to Monday (Feb. 26).

The poster session aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in health and disease research. The event will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in Purdue Memorial Union’s South Ballroom. Students, staff and faculty are invited to attend. Refreshments will be provided.

Poster submissions are being accepted, and graduate students can enter their posters in a competition, which will have prizes. The Graduate Student Poster Competition will award $300 to first place, $200 to second place and $100 to third place. Categories for the competition will be cancer; neuroscience and neurodegenerative disease; inflammation, immunology and infectious diseases; obesity and related diseases; prevention and wellness; and other.
