Purdue, community celebrate Hanukkah with menorah lighting ceremony

President Mitch Daniels joined students, faculty, staff and community members for a menorah lighting ceremony on Tuesday (Dec. 12) at Memorial Mall. The event, which was arranged by Chabad at Purdue, a student religious organization, marked the first night of Hanukkah and included singing, dancing, latkes, donuts and a Chanukah gelt for children. Hanukkah concludes Wednesday evening (Dec. 20).
