Last week to enroll for 2018 benefits; enroll by Friday

Faculty and staff who have not yet enrolled for their 2018 benefits only have four days left to do so. Enrollment ends at 6 p.m. EST Friday (Nov. 10). No changes to benefit plans will be accepted after that date unless there is a qualifying life event (change in family status).

A point of clarification regarding the move to CVS Caremark for the prescription drug coverage: There is no need for employees to change pharmacies to receive their normal 30-day supply of medications. CVS Caremark has a nationwide network of pharmacies and most pharmacies participate. The only plan feature that is specific to the CVS pharmacies is the new option to purchase a 90-day supply of ongoing medications at the mail order pricing from a CVS retail pharmacy. Employees should watch for a flier coming in home mail over the next few days that gives more specific details about working with CVS in 2018.

Human Resources encourages employees to enroll now and keep a copy of the enrollment summary page for their records. Those who have already enrolled can review their elections and make any changes up to 6 p.m. EST Friday. Those who make changes should be sure to re-submit their enrollment.

The dedicated website for open enrollment 2018 provides all the need-to-know information for faculty and staff to ensure they make the best selections for themselves and their families. From the website, faculty and staff can access not only the detailed, step-by-step instructions to enroll, but also medical and prescription information as well to help them select coverage best-suited to their needs.

Those who prefer face-to-face opportunities to discuss their plan selection still have the opportunity to do so. Walk-in labs are still available for hands-on assistance through Friday. The schedule is:
