Benefitfocus experiencing heavy traffic as enrollment deadline for electing 2018 benefits nears

There are only three days left for faculty and staff who have not yet enrolled for their 2018 benefits to do so. Enrollment ends at 6 p.m. EST Friday (Nov. 10). Benefitfocus -- the online enrollment tool -- was experiencing slower response time due to heavy traffic within the tool. Human Resources believes the tool is now more responsive, and those who have not yet enrolled should be able to log in and enroll. Because the volume will be heavy during the last three days of enrollment, allow time and have patience as you complete enrollment for 2018 benefits.

When you log in to Benefitfocus and complete your enrollment, make sure you follow the enrollment path until you have submitted your enrollment. You have until 6 p.m. EST Friday to submit your enrollment. No changes to benefit plans will be accepted after that date unless there is a qualifying life event (change in family status). The next opportunity to update employee benefits will be during next year’s open enrollment timeframe (October 2018).
