Office of the Provost and Discovery Park add fourth data science forum

To accommodate the high level of interest and demand, the Office of the Provost and Discovery Park are adding a fourth agile strategy forum on Purdue’s new data science initiative. Those who were unable to register for the previous sessions and are interested in participating may sign up now for the newly added session from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 2 in Stewart Center, Room 218.

Tomás Díaz de la Rubia, Discovery Park’s chief scientist and executive director, and Jenna Rickus, associate vice provost for teaching and learning, will lead the campus conversations.

In keeping with the other three forums, this forum will be an open, inclusive discussion, which will position the University to:

* Prepare its students to engage fully in a data-driven world.

* Empower faculty by creating a research ecosystem that supports the data science needs and interests of faculty across campus.

* Engage with partners in areas of scholarly focus where Purdue brings unique strength.

* Transform the state by realizing the potential of data science for economic development.

Those interested in attending the added November forum date can register online.
