Health and Kinesiology, YWCA to offer Cancer Wellness Program for cancer survivors

Purdue's Department of Health and Kinesiology and the YWCA Greater Lafayette are offering a Cancer Wellness Program for cancer survivors.

Two eight-week programs will be offered Aug. 21-Oct. 13 and Oct. 16-Dec. 8 at Purdue's Ismail Center in Lyles-Porter Hall, Room 1130. Participants will meet 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Each eight-week session will feature yoga, cardio, strength training, stretching/flexibility and relaxation exercises, and assessments will be made by an exercise specialist.

The program is open to the Purdue and Greater Lafayette communities for a fee of $50. Parking in the Harrison Street Garage or street parking is available, and no parking permit is needed after 5 p.m.
